NOTICE: USPS Shipping Option

Hello there green people,

I've made USPS Priority Rate shipping an option in the store. Priority rate is described as 1-3 business days on the USPS website, but from earlier experiences, I can say definitively that this estimated delivery time is NOT GUARANTEED.

Any customer, who is having their plant shipped, can opt for USPS priority rate at a cheaper price than UPS. However, if you should choose this option, Hort & Culture LLC is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any damages or delays that may occur.

Any claims that arise from this shipping option should be filed with USPS.

"Why is it this way?"

Earlier experiences with USPS caused my store to shift entirely from USPS to UPS. In the first weeks of the store, USPS delayed 3 packages and failed to deliver 1. While the delays were ultimately okay with only minor damage, the undelivered package (which remains unfound) caused me headaches. With UPS, shipping is GUARANTEED WITHIN 3 DAYS and often occurs sooner.

When dealing with plants, my aim is to reduce transit times as much as possible - hence UPS shipping.
